Silencers for Marine and Offshore Applications

Silencers are used to reduce the noise in “air moving” applications such as air conditioning or ventilation systems, fan  inlets and outlets, enclosure ventilation and other applications.

Silencers are insulated with acoustic infill and an optional central-pod can be inserted in the silencers for higher attenuation. For marine and offshore applications, the  silencers are made in a heavier construction to suit the application.

A manual control single flap damper can be built-in upon request.

Hison Plated Mounted Fans

Introduction

• Hison Axial Flow Fans, formerly know as Howden Fans are manufactured to International Quality Standard.
• Available from sizes 150mm to 1250mm diameter.
• Incorporate heavy duty marine grade LM-6 or equal cast aluminium impellers with aerofoil blades for better efficiencies and lower sound level.
• Adjustable blades angles designs to meet varied volume and pressure system requirements featuring the blade shank with tapered conical section. The tapered section fits into a conical slot in the hub, providing a taper lock fit. A bolt is cast into the blade, projecting into the hub and is secured on the inside by lock-washer and nut.
• Hison Impellers comes in polypropylene and aluminum.

Performance

• Ranges from 100m³/hr to 250000m³/hr and static pressure up to 125mm.
• Performance of Hison Fans are tested in accordance to BS 848 Part 1 1980, the latest ISO 5801 First Edition 1997-06-1 and many of Hison Axial Fan models are also tested in accordance to AMCA 210-99 Standard for air performance and licensed to bear the AMCA seal.
• Sound level data is in accordance with BS 848 – 1985: part 2. and ISO 5136 First Edition 1990-12-15.

Spark Resistant Constructions

• Hison Axial Flow Fans with Explosion Proof Motor and Spark Resistant Construction (SRC) features can be built in compliance and bear the BASEFA ‘ATEX’ 0299X and 0300X certification or the Standard Spark Resistant Construction (SRC) which is built in accordance to AMCA Standard 99-0401-80 Type B Spark Resistant Construction.
• Extended leads extended to outside of casing in accordance to Explosion proof procedure to explosion proof external fan junction box.
• Anti-Spark Ring on standard fans is available on request.

Junior Fans

New York Blower Junior Fans with forward-curve wheels are well suited to ventilation and industrial-process applications where moderate capacities at low pressures are required. Applications include HVAC ventilation, oven and dryer exhaust and process drying and cooling.

Single-Width Fans with AcoustaFoil^®/BC/PLR Wheels

New York Blower Single-Width  Fans feature three types of backward inclined wheels for maximum selection flexibility and optimum performance: AcoustaFoil® wheels with airfoil blades for highest efficiency in clean, dry airstreams, PLR wheels with flat, single-thickness blades for best performance in moist or mildly contaminated airstreams, and BC wheels with curved, single-thickness blades for good performance in moist airstreams.

Acoustic louvres

Acoustic louvres are used to prevent noise breakout from an air inlet or outlet of a plantroom, building or enclosure whilst allowing ventilation air transfer. They have varying acoustic performance depending on the type of aerodynamically designed blades is used and the depth of the acoustic louvre demanded by the design.

Weather louvres resist the ingress of rain and moisture and are used where noise is not such a concern or is being treated by some other means. They provide weatherproofing and air transfer and can be made from steel, stainless steel or aluminium and then finished in enamel paint, powdercoated or anodised.

Hison Mancoolers/Bug Blowers

Specially designed for cooling hot spots, cooling, gas freeing and fume removal applications.

Hison Mancoolers aid in the dissipation of body heat through a higher evaporation rate, helping to prevent heat exhaustion and increase personal safety.

Particularly effective for fast turn around, minimising costly down time or where a clean healthy environment must be maintained for the safety of workers

Mushroom Cowlings

Features

• Available for sizes 150mm to 2000mm diameter fans.
• Options for construction materials includes mild steel, stainless steel or aluminum
• Option to integrate with or without built-in damper
• Minimum thickness of 3mm

Standard Surface Coating

• Hot Dipped Galvanised to EN ISO 461:1999 which also comply to ASTM A123, A153 and BS 729.
• Blasted to SA 2-1/2 and coated with Hi-built epoxy paints for marine environment and most industrial applications.
• Special painting to user specification is available upon request.
